Bio: Growing up on the small island of Jersey (Channel Islands), I moved to Leeds in 2005 to study New Media design at Leeds University. After graduating in 2008, a friend and I set up our own digital design agency in Leeds called Swarm Media where I continue to work as multimedia/digital designer.

Mat, you’re not famous, why the website?

The main purpose of this website is to store all of my thoughts, design work, photos and contact details all in one place.

The blog is here simply to act as an outlet and a personal record for my many wandering thoughts I have during the week. From world events to simply something interesting I’ve read or learned that day, there is no particular format or audience in mind. With that said, if someone does happen to stumble across an article they are interested or amused by, then I’m glad to have contributed something back into society…

What are your passions in life?

Learning and music are all things that I am passionate about, however the most important passion for me is making great memories. Clichéd for sure, but for me life is as good as the memories you take along the way. That’s why the most important activity in my life is having fun and spending time with my beautiful friends and family.

A big part of my life is that I am Christian (Non-denominational) and also learning about the many other different schools of thought that are out there. I am all for science and believe in objective scientific truths such as the process of evolution. For me, science reveals the amazing beauty and complexity of our wonderful universe and the one who started it all.
